This photo is of Joshua Jackson Hunt, one of his brothers, and three of his brother-in-laws, all of whom served in the Civil War. The photo belonged to our aunt, who is the widow of the grandson of John P. Garrison, and the granddaughter of Joshua Jackson Hunt.They are as follows, left to right:
William H. Garrison, b. Dec. 20, 1830, d. Feb 24, 1914, buried Garrison Cem., Warrick Co., In. Served in 42nd Ind. Infantry Co. D, as a Cpl. enlisting Oct 20, 1861 and discharged July 16, 1863 due to wounds. He was married to Martha J. Hunt. (Joshua Jackson Hunt's sister).
John W. Hunt, b. March 11, 1845, d. June 3, 1926, buried Little Zion Cem.,
Warrick Co., In. Served in 120 In Infantry, Co. D, enlisting Jan 8, 1864,
and mustered out January 8, 1866. He was Joshua Jackson Hunt's brother. He was married to Lydia Williams.
Joshua Jackson Hart, b. March 22, 1838, d. Nov 27, 1922, buried Bethabara Cem., Warrick Co., In. Served as Pvt. in 42 In Infantry., Co D, enlisting Oct 10, 1861, and mustered out July 21, 1865. He was married to Sarah C. Phillips (Sarah was the sister of Agnes Phillips Hunt, Joshua Jackson Hunt's wife).
Joshua Jackson Hunt, b. Oct 5, 1841, d. Feb 1, 1919, buried Clark Cem., Warrick Co., In. Served as Pvt. in 42 In Infantry., Co D, enlisting October 10, 1861 and mustered out July 21, 1865. Married to Agnes Phillips.
John P. Garrison, b. Dec. 30, 1830, d. July 21, 1907, buried Garrison Cem.,
Warrick Co., In. Served as Cpl in 42 In Infantry., Co D. enlisting October 15, 1861. He was married to Sarah E. Hunt (Joshua Jackson Hunt's sister). He was the twin brother of William H. Garrison.
