Will of Daniel Rhodes, Nov. 22, 1818, Warrick Co, IN
In the Name of God Amen
I Daniel Rhodes of the County of Warrick and State of Indiana being of Sound Mind but Low and feeble in health & body and knowing the uncertainty of Life do Acclaim declare and publish this my last will and testament
first I resign my Soul to God who Giveth it to me and body to the bowels of the Earth. 2nd All my just debts and demands to be first paid in one year after my Death.
3rd I will and bequeath unto my wife Mary Rhodes all my house hold and [Riches ?] furniture for her own proper use forever _____
4th I will and bequeath unto the Said Mary and her four Children to wit Daniel Andrew Isaac and Sally all of my Stock of Cattle and four breeding Sows and meat for one year and all of my farming utentials [sic] of Every Description unto her the Said Children and the Said Mary.
5th I further will and bequeath to her the Mary and to them the Said Children Samuel Andrew Isaac and Sally all my horses for [them?] ther use for Ever
6 I will and Desire the rest of all my hogs to be Sold on 12 months Credit and the money applied to the payment of the Land I now Live on
7 th I will and Bequeath unto my Son William Rhodes that I had by my first wife Six Shillings and no more of my estate in Consequence of his improper Conduct to me in my Law Suits with mary his mother to be paid him 12 months from my death
8 Will and bequeath unto unto my Daughter Sally daughter of my now wife a Lot of Ground that I have in Boonvill for her own proper use for Ever.
9 I do here appoint you Joseph (A? N?) Arnold my true and Lawful Executor and now wife my Mary Rhodes my Executrix to my Estate.
Delivered and published in the presence of us the undersigned Subscribing Witnesses by the Testor Daniel Rhodes to be this his Last will and testament Who Signed the Same in our presents [sic] Sealed with his Seal and dated the 22nd day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighteen.

Be it Remembered that on the day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Nineteen Before me Nathaniel Hart Clerk of the Circuit Court for the County of Warrick and the State of Indiana personally Came Joseph Arnold Executor And Mary Rhodes Executrix of the Last Will and testament of Daniel Rhodes Deceased and and made probate of Said Will of Daniel Rhodes Deceased agreeable to Law by the othe [sic] of William G. Buckler Henry Rhodes and Jacob Matthews three of the Subscribing Witnesses to the Said Last will and testament of the Said Daniel Rhodes Deceased.
In testimony Where of I have here unto [SA? Set?] my hand and I the Seal of Said Court the day and year above Written.
